The South African Breweries (SAB) youth entrepreneurship development programme, SAB KickStart, has attracted more than 700 applications from young and aspiring entrepreneurs across South Africa. During the month of June, SAB called on South African entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35 years to enter their business or business idea into the programme. Successful entrants stand to win grant funding for their business of between R30 000 and R250 000 from a total pool of R3.2 million.
The Wits Business School(Centre for Entrepreneurship) offering a course that will provide an entrepreneur with skills, practical tools and techniques, as well as valuable networks. The Opportunity Search and Evaluation course is a perfect 'opportunity' for an aspiring entrepreneur who is at the early-stage or an unemployed graduate who has a business idea or working to develop an idea.

In 2007, Antonio Pooe was announced as the regional SAB KickStart winner, walking away with a grant that was valued at R90 000 and six months of business skill support and mentoring.
